HOW DO THE ZOOM CLASSES WORK?
You will be emailed an hour before the class starts. In this email there will be a Zoom link and password, all you need to do is click on the link and enter the password. I would advise downloaded Zoom ahead of the class if you haven't used it beforehand.
If you do have any issues feel free to get in touch with Georgia before the class.
DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE YOUR VIDEO ON DURING THE CLASS?
This is completely optional. I will have my video on the whole time and will demonstrate all the exercises, you can decide if you have your video on or off.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CLASSICAL & CONTEMPORARY PILATES?
Classical Pilates is Pilates in the truest, most authentic form - as Joseph Pilates intended.
Contemporary Pilates is a more modern form of Pilates and gets a bit more creative with the exercises and structure of the class.
G-ILATES classes are a mix of both: contemporary, but with the classical Pilates foundations always there to ensure you get the most out of the exercises.
HOW DO I PAY FOR A G-ILATES CLASS?
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO A CLASS?
All you need is a mat (or a towel/ soft floor) and a phone/ laptop or tablet to stream the class. I won’t be playing music in the class so feel free to set some music up beforehand.
In some classes household objects may be as Pilates props (i.e. cushion/ chair/ cans of beans). You will be told this in your confirmation email an hour before the class, if this is the case.
WILL YOU BE CONTINUING THE ONLINE CLASSES POST LOCKDOWN?
There has been such a great response to the classes and a lot of requests to continue past lockdown so I will be definitely doing so.
CAN I COME TO A CLASS IF I HAVE NEVER DONE PILATES BEFORE?
Yes! I welcome beginners.
Every class caters to all levels- I offer a range of variations with all exercises so that you can decide what works best for you.
If you are new to Pilates and would like to understand the basic principles and foundations ahead of starting the classes- the beginners package would be the perfect introduction.
IF I AM WORKING WITH AN INJURY WHAT CLASS WOULD YOU SUGGEST?
It really depends on your injury. If it's something that you are concerned about and would like a more tailored session then I would suggest a 1:1 session so that I can help to modify exercises specifically for you.
